| Background This has been a long established website (since 1999) which allows potential clients to look up our holiday home details as if we had printed a brochure. Traditionally each owner advertised directly in newspapers and holiday magazines. With the change in lifestyles and internet facilities, new advertising methods evolved. Villaowners took the opportunity to facilitate this change by combining web advertising and a traditional small ad in the Times Newspaper in UK. |

Step If only one villa is shown on the website, a lot of the advertising seemed wasted as the enquiries received were for dates that had already been sold. So the idea shared with other similar owners in order to mutually benefit from each others advertising spend. The shared website has been highly successful for villa owners and discerning customers. |

| How it Works The appropriately named internet domain villaowners.co.uk has been registered and is professionally hosted. Advertising funds are collected from the participants and spent on a minimum sized lineage entry in the Sunday Times French travel section and also on sponsored Adword promotion with Google. By limiting the number of entries to a dozen or so we maintain an optimum balance between being big enough to have enough income for continuous advertising and being small enough to ensure successful exposure for each property ... as every entry will generally be seen by every visitor. An excellent cost-effective way of advertising!! |

Eligible to Join us? You should be the owner of a quality holiday home with a swimming pool. We are looking for them all to be within the same areas of Southern France, all to be especially suitable for families. By conforming to this loose similar standard, all the properties are likely to be acceptable alternatives to one another, and hence make the site very coherent - unlike the large commercial sites where thousands of dissimilar villas are piled together in one confusing heap! |
